We regret to announce that magazines will no longer be available through the Findlay-Hancock County Public Library's (FHCPL) OverDrive Newsstand. OverDrive terminated its partnership with Barnes and Noble, which provides NOOK Periodicals for FHCPL's Digital Library. The majority of the Ohio Digital Library's subscriptions are expiring this month and next. A handful of titles will still be available for a few months until the subscriptions expire.
OverDrive is working on a new magazine platform. OverDrive is hopeful that they will be launching a new service, later summer or early fall. We appreciate your use of the FHCPL's Digital Library, and apologize for this inconvenience.
Come watch and discuss two TED Talks on leadership. In "How Great Leaders Inspire Action," Columbia University professor Simon Sinek presents his "Golden Circle" model for inspirational leadership, and uses some of America's greatest leaders as examples. The second presentation, "The Surprising Habits of Original Thinkers," comes from author/professor Adam Grant. He examines how creative people generate great ideas and describes three unexpected habits, like welcoming failure. Short discussions will follow each video.
OSU graduate Landscape Architect and Master Gardner intern, Tim Brugeman, will teach participants how to add newer plant varieties with more color and contrasts for better looking landscapes year-round. Registration required. Monday, April 3. 6:30-7:30 p.m.
